Dr. Lu Wei Liu joins Amvac Singapore PTE, LTD. a subsidiary of AMVAC Netherlands B.V., effective June 1, 2018, as Director of Sourcing – Asia. Dr. Liu has done an excellent job as a consultant to Amvac for the past year and will work closely with Sourcing, RAD, Technology and Manufacturing to secure innovative sourcing and tolling solutions throughout Asia, with an eye toward accelerating Amvac’s rapid growth and profitability.

Dr. Liu is the former Director, Technology, Sourcing, Manufacturing and In-licensing for FMC Agricultural Products International. After leaving FMC in 2011, Dr. Liu was involved in successful startups in the bio-fermentation market and gained experience with manufacturing, licensing, permitting, and commercialization. He holds a B.S. in Chemistry from Beijing University, as well as a M.Sc. and a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from University of Pierre & Marie Curie/Ecole Normale Supérieure in Paris. Dr. Liu is a dual citizen of Hong Kong and Canada.

Lu Wei will work from a home office in Shanghai, receive business guidance from Bill Clark and will report administratively to Lawrence Yu of Amvac Singapore.
