AMVAC is currently looking for a Buyer to work in their Purchasing Department. The Buyer is responsible for purchasing raw materials and completing MRO orders, entering the orders into the QAD (ERP) system, maintaining purchasing files, and coordinating approval of invoices with accounts payable. The Buyer / Purchasing Assistant works closely with the Purchasing Manager to ensure accuracy and maintain inventory for smooth operations at AMVAC’s busiest manufacturing plant located in Axis, Alabama.
The PSM / Process Engineer at AMVAC’s Los Angeles chemical manufacturing plant is responsible for process engineering and Process Safety Management including startup, troubleshooting, and production of various chemical products. Responsibilities include overall ownership of all elements of the OSHA PSM standard and EPA RMP Rule; as well as aiding in capital and process improvement projects. The PSM / Plant Process Engineer will work closely with plant management and the EHS department to ensure proper process information is developed, reviewed, and made available to meet company, local, and federal regulations.

Qualified candidates will have hands-on experience working in a manufacturing plant in a leadership role. Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills are required. The Synthesis Operator is responsible for the operation, inspection, troubleshooting, and maintenance of the chemical synthesis unit for AMVAC’s Axis manufacturing plant. The synthesis operator oversees the safe and environmentally sustainable operation of plant assets.
The Instrument & Electrical (I&E) Technician will troubleshoot and repair the industrial process instruments, electronics, and test equipment to maximize operations for AMVAC’s specialty chemical manufacturing plant. AMVAC’s I&E Technician installs, repairs, maintains, adjusts, and calibrates instruments used to control and measure variables such as level, pressure, flow, temperature, analytical, pH, motion, force, and chemical composition. The I&E Technician adheres to standard I&E procedures and techniques and follows safe work practices at all times.
The Maintenance Superintendent will lead the Maintenance team at AMVAC Chemical’s manufacturing plant assuring the safety and success of the daily plant production. AMVAC’s Plant Site Maintenance Superintendent will be responsible for the plant’s maintenance work and for ensuring effective use of people, resources, materials and equipment to obtain optimum performance. This specialty chemical manufacturing plant operates 7 x 24 x 365 days a year and produces products for agricultural use world-wide. The Maintenance Superintendent will oversee the plant’s maintenance by understanding and safely adhering to AMVAC’s process and procedures and manage through clear and concise communication.
AMVAC’s Maintenance Mechanic installs, repairs, maintains, adjusts and overhauls pumps, gearboxes, centrifuges, pipe fitting, and overall cares for all the equipment in a busy, 24x7x365 operating chemical plant.
